Before installing everything in the van, the shower hardware test was performed to see if the calculations were correct and if all the hardware would work as expected. The installation was setup with the actual components that were going to be used in the van, including the thermostatic shower tap. The tap was put in the bathroom and connected to the shower, with a set temperature of 37 degrees, resulting in an estimated shower time of about 4 minutes. The expected heat-up time was estimated to be about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The results were pretty close, the measured heat-up time of the boiler, using the battery and the inverter was about 1 hour 25 minutes and the actual shower time was even 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
